Job Description:
IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.   Our client is looking to hire a Security Architect. This role will provide cybersecurity architecture, design, and consulting services to various client departments. Position will support the emerging field of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and support and defend traditional and non-traditional IoT networks.   Tasks:
  • Assist client system engineers and operators implement and manage best practices to secure the evolving intelligent transportation backbone of the client.
  • Evaluate current and future cyber-physical transportation systems and make recommendations for improving the security posture to protect the transportation infrastructure from cyber security threats of all kinds.
  • Assist in the selection, development, and implementation of systems and monitoring tools that focus on transport cybersecurity.
  • Serve as a clearinghouse for issues as they arise.

  NOTE: Local candidates to Michigan ONLY. NO RELOCATION ALLOWED. Position will be hybrid, in office 2 days a week (Tue/Wed) upon start. NO REMOTE ONLY option. We can accept H1b, , TN, and other valid work visas for IT. However, we cannot accept OPT or CPT visas at this time.     Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid, 2 days/week (Tues/Wed) in office) Contract: 1 year   Skills Required:
  • 3+ years - Experience as a Security Architect or related position
  • 3+ years - Experience doing Risk Assessments
  • 3+ years - Experience working to ensure compliance with security standards
  • 3+ years - Experience reviewing settings and configurations on systems and network devices for compliance with best practices
  • 3+ years - Experience coordinating and conduction vulnerability scans
  • Knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)
  • Knowledge of Intelligent Transportation Systems
  • Bachelor s Degree (Please include on Resume)
