Description
Our client is seeking a skilled Business Analyst 2 (BA2) to provide support for ongoing initiatives within the Client. The BA2 will serve as a liaison between program stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that requirements are accurately captured, analyzed, and translated into effective business and IT solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in requirements management, process improvement, and solution validation.
Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Translate business needs into detailed user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions to ensure clarity and completeness.
- Create and maintain business process models, workflows, and use case scenarios.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, testers, and end users throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Support quality assurance efforts by reviewing test plans, test cases, and validating outcomes against requirements.
- Track and manage change requests, ensuring business needs remain aligned with project goals.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to resolve issues and clarify requirements.
- Prepare business, functional, and technical documentation for internal and external use.
- Contribute to the development of training materials, user guides, and post-implementation support documentation.
- Provide ongoing support and analysis for system enhancements, upgrades, and process improvements.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst.
- Strong background in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience with business process modeling, data mapping, and workflow analysis.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Visio, or similar modeling/documentation tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholder groups.
Highly Desired Skills:
- Experience working with state or local government agencies, particularly in human services.
- Familiarity with Client systems, applications, and data processes.
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project methodologies.
- Experience writing and managing user stories in Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Understanding of data analysis, reporting, and metrics tracking.
