Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled (minimum 6 year experience) Automotive Technician to join our Bosch service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles. Duties- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles using technical manuals and diagnostic tools.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on various vehicle systems
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out maintenance and repairs
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, clutches and timing belts
- Repair or replace faulty equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Assist in the maintenance of workshop tools and machinery to ensure optimal operation
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures and addressing client concerns
- Undertake heavy lifting of vehicle components or parts when necessary to facilitate repairs
Requirements- Proven experience with automotive repair and maintenance techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Ability to interpret assembly instructions and perform precise repairs or replacements
- Knowledge of vehicle systems including electrical, braking, suspension, and engine components
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Physical strength to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude towards clients' needs
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology are preferred but not essential
