About the Role:A
high-performing public charter school in Phoenix, AZ, and part of a nationally recognized network, is seeking a
High School Math Teacher for the 2025 school year. We are looking for an educator passionate about
algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and statistics who can create an engaging and structured classroom environment that promotes
critical thinking and problem-solving skills. As it is a small school, the teacher will also be responsible for teaching one period of science or computer science. The ideal candidate will be committed to
academic excellence and educational equity while preparing students for college and career success.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned lesson plans that challenge and inspire students.
- Create a structured, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and ensure student success.
- Utilize data-driven instruction to monitor student progress and tailor teaching strategies.
- Integrate technology, real-world applications, and project-based learning into lessons.
- Build strong relationships with students, families, and staff to support student achievement.
- Collaborate with school leadership and colleagues to enhance curriculum and instruction.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
Requirements:- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of two years of teaching experience in high school math.
- Certification: Must hold or be eligible for an Arizona state teaching license in mathematics.
- Skills:
- Passion for the school’s mission and commitment to educational equity.
- Strong classroom management and ability to maintain high academic expectations.
- Experience using data to drive student achievement.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and instructional skills.
