Job Description:
Looking for an outstanding Bookkeeper and Client Accounts Administrator for our growing accounting practice in Rototuna Keen Accountants Limited is a New Zealand independent accounting firm, specialising in accounting services, business and corporate advisory and taxation. The success of our business is based on the providing great service, innovate thinking through professional growth. We are currently experiencing strong growth and have an opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper looking to step up into a lead role and take on new tasks as a client accounts administrator in addition to their standard bookkeeping responsibilities. Position: Full-time, Permanent with minimum 40 hours a week Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 Key Responsibilities:
  • keeping financial records, and maintaining and balancing accounts using manual and computerised systems

  • monitoring cash flow and lines of credit

  • preparing and producing financial statements, budget and expenditure reports and analyses using account books, ledgers and accounting software packages

  • preparing invoices, purchase orders and bank deposits

  • reconciling accounts against monthly bank statements

  • verifying recorded transactions and reporting irregularities to management

  • may be required to prepare forms reporting business tax entitlements and obligations such as the amount of goods and services tax paid and collected

  • Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree qualifications in business or accounting is preferred, but not required if you have relevant experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping with modern accounting software

  • References that show you are reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently with limited supervision

  • Clean criminal record and sound reputation. You must fit for this position of financial responsibility.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deliver quality service to retain key clients

Ideal candidates will have:
  • Strong Sales skills and at least 1 year of experience in sales, or in own business practice

  • Ability to work with a diverse portfolio of clients

  • Skills to drive with the ability to motivate high-performing clients to grow their business.

  • Experience in managing people and administrating client accounts would be an advantage.

  • Sound reputation for honesty, with good standing and excellent references

  • Knowledge of Hindi and Punjabi business practices and culture is a strong advantage for engaging with client base.

Suitable candidates must be willing to undertake pre-employment drug testing, and random onsite drug and alcohol testing.
