Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The ideal applicant will have excellent customer service skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Duties

• Diagnose and repair automotive issues using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
• Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs efficiently.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand vehicle systems and components.
• Assemble parts and components as required for repairs or replacements.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools are stored properly after use.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients about their vehicle needs and repair options.
• Assist in heavy lifting of automotive parts or equipment as necessary.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various automotive issues.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Ability to read and understand schematics related to vehicle systems.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting as required in the workshop environment.
• A valid driver's licence is essential for this position.
