What skills and experience we're looking forAt Leeds Mathematics School(LMaS), we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and
dynamic Assistant Site Manager who will join our brand-new post-16provision at an
exciting time. The role of Assistant Site Manager is crucial toensuring a safe, clean and highest-quality learning and working environment forthe students and all the adults in the LMaS community.
If youare the ideal applicant, you will have
- The knowledge and skills to carry out basic maintenance tasks, for example minor plumbing, unblocking drains, repairing furniture.
- A firstaid at work qualification or willing to work towards.
- Experience of working in a school and/or office environment.
- A 'can-do', creative, solution-focused attitude and approach to your work.

Further details about the roleAbout us:Leeds Mathematics School (LMaS) () is a brand-new specialist sixth form college for high-attaining mathematicians in the Leeds city and West Yorkshire region. All LMaStudents study Mathematics and Further Mathematics A-Levels. In Year 12 they study two of Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics and Mandarin Chinese, and in Year 13 they continue one of these to A level.
Our unique, enriched curriculum prepares our students for the next stage of their educational journey. We support them to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes that will enable and empower them to make significant future contributions to this region, to their communities, and to global society. We are committed to ensuring that every LMaStudent achieves highly and leaves LMaS with many and meaningful choices available to them: in their learning, in their careers, in their lives.
We moved into our stunning new school in November 2023. This is located in the heart of Leeds, on The Headrow. The facilities for teaching and learning are exceptional, to support our evidence-led and research-informed curriculum and pedagogy. Our ongoing
professional development is central to the vision,
purpose and day-to-day practice of LMaS.
We welcomed our first cohort of 70 students in September 2023. One third are female or female-identifying, and one third are from the most disadvantaged postcodes in the region. We are determined to increase both these proportions.
