Head Pizza Chef to take full ownership of the kitchen and lead our team long term.The RoleThis is a
hands-on leadership position working
38–40 hours across 5 days per week, with flexibility to rotate Sundays on and off. You will have
complete control of the kitchen, supported by a small, well-structured team.You will be responsible for:
- Wood-fired pizza production using 24–72 hour fermented dough
- Full dough prep and recipe control
- Menu creation and development
- Leading service and setting kitchen standards
- Training, mentoring, and motivating a team of 5–7 staff
- Ordering, stock control, costing, and waste management
- Rostering and day-to-day kitchen organisation
- Maintaining clean systems and calm, efficient service under pressure
You will usually work alongside at least one other team member during service.What We’re Looking ForEssential:
- Minimum 2 years in a managerial kitchen role
- Minimum 2 years as a wood-fired pizza chef
- Comfortable producing 200–300 pizzas per night with a team
- Strong understanding of broader kitchen operations
- Confident in the kitchen as well cooking pastas, preparing salads, and managing a mixed menu
- Proven ability to lead under pressure
