Your main responsibilities will include:

• Managing and maintaining a safe learning environment for children to learn organically through their interests and play
• Leading a room and supporting staff to deliver Froebelian practice
• Be responsible for the room and meet targets outlined by your manager
• Foster positive relationships with your team, children and families
• Communicate effectively to families on children’s development through documentation and learning stories
• Ensure all staff understand safeguarding and health and safety policies relevant to their role and implement procedures effectively

Requirements or Skills:

• A Level 3 full and relevant qualification in Childcare such as EYE, NVQ, CACHE or recognised equivalent
• A good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Understanding of the Froebelian approach (more information can be found here www.froebel.org.ukor via our website)
• A good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Experience working in a nursery environment
• The right to work in the UK and a clear enhanced DBS
• Experience managing a room in a nursery environment
• Experience of safeguarding and health and safety policies and procedures within a nursery environment
• The right to work in the UK and a clear enhanced DBS (visa sponsorship considered for QTS qualified teachers)
