SOC Code: 2432 – Public Relations Professionals / Marketing ProfessionalsSalary: £40,000 per annumWorking Hours: 37.5 hours per weekLocation: 185 Broad Street Dagenham RM10 9JDEmployment Type: Full-time Term: 1 year fixed-termOverview We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Marketing and Commercial Manager to lead and deliver the organisation’s marketing, communications, and business growth strategy within the healthcare and social care sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting the organisation’s care services, strengthening brand reputation, increasing service user and stakeholder engagement, and supporting sustainable commercial growth. The role will involve developing strategic partnerships with local authorities, healthcare professionals, community organisations, and referral networks while ensuring all marketing activities align with UK healthcare regulations and ethical standards. This position requires strong leadership, analytical, communication, and relationship management skills, alongside a sound understanding of the UK healthcare and social care environment.Key Responsibilities Develop and implement marketing and commercial strategies aligned with organisational objectives and healthcare sector priorities. Promote the organisation’s healthcare and social care services to service users, families, commissioners, local authorities, NHS partners, and community stakeholders. Plan, manage, and evaluate marketing campaigns across digital, print, community outreach, and traditional media channels. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, service gaps, funding opportunities, and commercial growth areas within the healthcare and care sector. Build and maintain strong relationships with NHS bodies, local authorities, Integrated Care Systems (ICSs), care professionals, referral partners, and community organisations. Support occupancy growth, client acquisition, and service uptake through targeted engagement and business development initiatives. Manage the organisation’s brand identity, website content, promotional materials, and public communications in line with healthcare and social care values. Oversee social media platforms and digital communications while ensuring content is accurate, professional, and compliant with advertising and healthcare regulations. Monitor and report on campaign edectiveness using KPIs, analytics, and performance data. Coordinate marketing budgets and ensure cost-edective use of resources. Collaborate with operational and care teams to develop person-centred promotional initiatives and improve customer experience. Prepare proposals, presentations, and tender support documentation for commissioners and partnership opportunities. Ensure compliance with GDPR, CQC standards, safeguarding principles, and relevant healthcare advertising guidelines. Represent the organisation at networking events, healthcare forums, exhibitions, and community engagement activities.Entry Requirements: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Business Management, Communications, Healthcare Management, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in marketing, commercial management, healthcare business development, or a similar role. Experience within the UK healthcare, social care, domiciliary care, supported living, or care home sector is highly desirable. Strong understanding of digital marketing, brand management, and commercial strategy. Knowledge of UK healthcare and social care structures, including NHS and local authority commissioning processes, is desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Odice, CRM systems, and digital marketing platforms. Ability to analyse data, prepare reports, and present strategic recommendations. Strong organisational, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
