Temporary Work - Charity Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Temporary Charity Worker to support various community initiatives and outreach programmes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the charitable sector, working alongside a passionate team committed to making a positive impact. The position is voluntary and unpaid , however, any reasonable expenses like travel and meals are paid for. This position suitable for individuals interested in developing their skills in project management, social engagement, and organisational support within a Church environment. Duties

• Assist with organising and coordinating charity events and campaigns
• Support fundraising activities through outreach and engagement strategies
• Manage social media platforms to promote the charity’s work and increase public awareness
• Provide administrative support including data entry, correspondence, and record keeping
• Supervise volunteers and ensure they are effectively utilised during projects
• Engage with community members to raise awareness of the charity’s services and initiatives
• Support the church in its evangelism work in the communities and organising related activities
• Assist with educational programmes or teaching sessions in the church as required
• Assist the church with its food bank and distribution of food to the community.
• Assist the elderly members of the community with their medication and shopping.

Experience

• Supervising experience in community or organisational settings is desirable
• Project management skills, including planning, organisation, and execution of events or campaigns
• Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate team members and volunteers
• Experience in marketing or social media management to enhance outreach efforts
• Administrative experience supporting programme coordination or office functions
• Knowledge of public health issues relevant to community engagement programmes
• Teaching experience or background in education is advantageous but not essential
