Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including acute care and medical offices. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and pain management, as well as the ability to work effectively with children and patients with dementia.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient health status, including vital signs and symptoms.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform phlebotomy and laboratory tests to assist in diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (experience with Cerner is a plus).
- Assist in pain management strategies for patients experiencing discomfort.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
Skills
- Proficient in phlebotomy techniques and laboratory procedures.
- Strong background in medical office operations and acute care settings.
- Experience working with children and understanding their unique healthcare needs.
- Knowledge of pain management practices to enhance patient comfort.
- Familiarity with medical terminology essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
