Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including acute care and medical offices. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and pain management, as well as the ability to work effectively with children and patients with dementia.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient health status, including vital signs and symptoms.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Perform phlebotomy and laboratory tests to assist in diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans for patients.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (experience with Cerner is a plus).
• Assist in pain management strategies for patients experiencing discomfort.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Skills

• Proficient in phlebotomy techniques and laboratory procedures.
• Strong background in medical office operations and acute care settings.
• Experience working with children and understanding their unique healthcare needs.
• Knowledge of pain management practices to enhance patient comfort.
• Familiarity with medical terminology essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
• Ability to administer medications safely and effectively while monitoring for side effects.
• Experience in dementia care, providing specialized support to patients with cognitive impairments.
