The Opportunity: Get the best of both worlds utilise your acute clinical skills in a rehabilitative community setting. In this role you will be part of a dynamic and supportive team, developing and implementing an innovative service model to provide a smoother transition for clients from hospital to home. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you'll be collaborating with other passionate clinicians to provide an interprofessional approach to patient care; enhancing health outcomes for clients and whaanau enabling them to reach their full potential. This team works across the five community bases delivering acute care to patients under hospital in the home, reablement and transitional care, maintaining strong links with inpatient hospital services. This is an excellent career development opportunity for an experienced allied health professional with a passion for clinical leadership, workforce development and innovative service design. The successful candidate will work in conjunction with Allied Health Team Leaders and Advanced and Senior Clinicians from other disciplines to ensure high quality, evidence-based practice throughout the Community Health Service. The role will support the development of the core and assistant interdisciplinary workforce delivering care within a restorative approach.
Essential: - Registration and current APC with the NZ Occupational Therapy Board
- A minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience within a similar health setting
- Advanced clinical reasoning and assessment skills
- Flexible and adaptable team player with mentoring/supervision experience
- Experience of service development
- Full drivers licence
