Role: GTM Engineer
Location: Austin, TX (Onsite, full-time)
Compensation: Market-based salary plus performance-based bonus
Why this role We don’t have formal Sales or Marketing teams yet—those responsibilities are shared. You’ll take strong ownership of several sales & marketing activities and build the lightweight systems (AI agents) that power them. Ship small, measure impact, iterate fast.
What you’ll own - Outbound & inbound execution: build prospect lists, craft/send personalized outreach, manage speed-to-lead, book and prep demos.
- Lightweight GTM tooling & AI agents: stand up small agents that do research, draft first-touch messages, enrich/rout leads, prep meeting notes, and nudge follow-ups—always with simple guardrails and human review where needed.
- Campaign design & experiments: ICP/signal logic, message testing, sequence setup, and clear experiment tracking.
- GTM hygiene & enablement: keep pipeline tidy, write simple runbooks, and produce basic collateral (one-pagers, case studies, landing copy).
- Reporting: weekly, concise updates on what shipped and what moved the numbers.
Day in the life - Spin up a research agent to summarize a target account and surface 2–3 personalization angles.
- Use a drafting agent to create a first-touch email; you edit, ship a small test, and watch replies.
- Let a triage agent sort inbound interest, route to the right owner, and suggest next steps in Slack.
- Share a short update: what we tried → result → next change.
Example first project (simple) Speed-to-lead responder (with an AI drafting agent) On any new inquiry: enrich the lead, route to the right owner, have an agent draft a personalized reply within 2 minutes, post a Clickup alert, and log to the CRM. Targets: faster responses and a clear lift in meetings booked.
Success metrics (we’ll align exact targets together) - Meetings completed
- Pipeline created
- ARR booked / influenced
- Supporting: reply rate, time-to-first-response, and hours saved via automation/agents
What you’ll bring - Expert vibe coder/technical fluency (familiarity with Clay, n8n/Zapier, TypeScript/Python, and SQL is nice). We have a strong technical team to help out, but we expect you to be doing the engineering groundwork and learn along the way.
- Bias to learn and iterate: test small, measure, improve (especially with AI agents).
- Business sense: aim at the core problem and pick the simplest solution that moves a metric.
- Experimental mindset: Desire to test ideas, validate signals, and turn feedback loops into better systems.
- Ownership & flexibility: comfortable wearing multiple hats across sales and marketing.
