Delivery Driver

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. • Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and meet delivery schedules.
• Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Ensure all deliveries are accurately documented and signed for upon receipt.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or any issues encountered.
• Maintain the cleanliness and routine maintenance of the vehicle.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or damage.

Experience

• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is highly desirable.
• Proven ability in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
• Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safety protocols.
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers.
• Valid driver’s licence, preferably with a clean driving record, including a valid driver qualification if applicable.
• Experience with driving large vehicles such as vans or lorries is preferred. This role requires organisational skills, physical stamina for heavy lifting, and excellent communication abilities to ensure smooth delivery operations.
