Accountant

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. • Prepare, examine, and analyse financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with organisational policies and regulatory standards.
• Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, salary processing, payment scheduling, and vendor reconciliation.
• Utilise various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other specialised financial management tools to maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing relevant financial data and analysis.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial documentation and reporting procedures are followed.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies through regular audits and reviews.

Skills

• Strong understanding of financial services, financial accounting, and general ledger management.
• Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated proficiency in accounts payable processes and financial management principles.
• Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
