Contract Type: Permanent About this opportunity In Adult Learning we know that education can literally change people’s lives. We are looking for a really special person to pick up from our existing Employability and Wellbeing tutor.
We deliver a wide range of learning programmes up to Level 2 for Westmorland and Furness Council and Cumberland Council. This role is based in our Penrith Centre, and as well as teaching in central Penrith, we cover the area from Alston to Kirkby Stephen to Glenridding. No day is ever the same in this role. You might be working with clients referred by the Job Centre, people recovering from addiction and depression, or learners with English as an Additional Language. We offer courses and qualifications to improve mental health and wellbeing, communication and soft skills for the workplace, and specific skills such as Food Hygiene or Safeguarding. If you have (or are working towards) a teaching qualification and have classroom experience in teaching Employability and Wellbeing, we would be very keen to hear from you. We do offer online classes for some of our harder-to-reach communities, but this role is mainly delivering face to face teaching.
