Fund Controller

Brewer Morris are exclusively partnering with a leading global private investment firm to recruit an Assistant Controller for their European Debt Fund team in London.
With over $100 billion in assets under management, this firm is renowned for its opportunistic investment approach across asset classes and geographies, with a primary focus on real estate. Their European debt platform originates real estate-backed loans and operates across complex multi-jurisdictional structures, including Guernsey, Luxembourg, and Australia. As the business continues to expand, this newly created role offers exceptional exposure to private debt fund operations and strategic finance in a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update fund accounting models and cash movement files.
• Review and oversee financial records prepared by administrators.
• Coordinate cash movements and reconcile activity with treasury.
• Support audits across multiple jurisdictions and manage queries.
• Liaise with legal and tax teams on fund activity and compliance.
• Contribute to internal projects and process improvements.

Candidate Profile

• ACA or equivalent qualification + 1–3 years PQE.
• Accounting background – either Big 4 trained and at Manager level or currently on the fund administration side.
• Can also come from fund finance roles; experience in debt/credit and real estate debt is highly desirable.
• Resilient and confident – able to manage challenging stakeholders effectively
• Luxembourg fund experience is important.
