Job SummaryWe are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef specializing in authentic South Indian cuisine to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preparing traditional dishes (e.g., Dosas and Kerala curries) with kitchen efficiency. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase authentic flavours while leading a dynamic team in a vibrant hospitality environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, ensuring excellent service for our guests. Previous experience and a passion for culinary excellence are essential for this position.Key Requirements: Proven expertise in South Indian culinary techniques and traditional flavor profiles. Must be based in the UK and eligible for work permit sponsorship.Visa Sponsorship: We are a licensed sponsor and are open to discussing work permit sponsorship for the right candidate.Availability: Immediate start or notice period of up to one month.Selection Process:
Practical Trial: As a key part of our selection process, shortlisted candidates will be invited to the kitchen to perform a practical cooking trial. This will allow you to demonstrate your culinary skills and your ability to work within our team.How to Apply:

  • Prepare and cook authentic South Indian dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
  • Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and hygiene standards
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times

Skills
  • Proven experience of working in hospitality or restaurant settings within a busy kitchen environment
  • Extensive knowledge of South Indian cuisine and traditional Kerala cooking methods
  • Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • Excellent team management and leadership abilities
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality
  • Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and management
  • Passion for culinary arts with a focus on authentic South Indian flavours
