Waiter / Waitress – Star Group Location: New Zealand Employment Type: Full-Time About the RoleStar Group is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Waiters / Waitresses to deliver exceptional dining experiences across its hospitality venues. You will provide friendly service, take food and beverage orders, and ensure guests enjoy a welcoming and enjoyable experience. Key ResponsibilitiesGreet guests and provide professional, friendly customer service.Present menus and assist customers with food and beverage selections.Take and process orders accurately using POS systems.Serve food and drinks in a timely and professional manner.Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to customer requests.Prepare and present bills and process payments.Set up, clear, and maintain dining areas to a high standard.Follow food safety, hygiene, and responsible service requirements.Work closely with kitchen, bar, and management teams to ensure smooth service. Skills & ExperiencePrevious hospitality or customer service experience is an advantage but not essential.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Friendly, reliable, and customer-focused attitude.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Good time management and multitasking skills.Basic numeracy and cash-handling abilities.Knowledge of food safety and responsible alcohol service is beneficial.
