Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and creative individual to join our team as a Pastry and Bakery Specialist. This role involves crafting beautiful and delicious baked goods, including cakes and pastries, while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in

• Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and confections, ensuring high-quality standards.
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as mixing, baking, and assembling products in accordance with recipes and safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
• Package finished products carefully for retail display or customer orders, ensuring presentation quality.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selections and answering questions about baked goods.
• Follow all food handling and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced bakery setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or food preparation within a restaurant or bakery environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Experience in the food industry with skills in kitchen operations, food presentation, and packaging.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Basic cooking skills with familiarity in food industry practices preferred.
• Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
