Are you ready for your next adventure in Midwifery? Join Hunter New England Health - where your skills, passion, and commitment to women-centred care are valued, supported, and celebrated.
We’re currently recruiting Midwives across multiple locations – from vibrant regional hubs to welcoming rural communities – with a $20,000 sign-up bonus to support your move. Working in a rural location allows you to experience a full scope of midwifery that larger hospitals may not be able to offer, including antenatal, postnatal and birthing suites - all under the one Maternity Service.
If you're looking to make a real impact for mothers and babies in rural communities, where no two days are the same, then we want to hear from you!
Our available locations:
- Armidale - Their small and friendly team is ready to welcome you into the fold! Work is allocated to each midwife when they arrive on shift, meaning lots of variety in your work. As a smaller hospital, you'll enjoy creating and maintaining stronger bonds with your mothers and their babies.
- Glen Innes - Enjoy the flexibility that comes with no set rostered days! Be just on call, only coming into the hospital when you need to. Your days off are protected too, showcasing true flexibility in your role. A social team that regularly meets for yoga classes and trivia nights together, they're looking for their newest member to join.
- Gunnedah - is more than just a town — it's a lifestyle. Nestled in the heart of north-west NSW, it's the Koala Capital of the World and a place where nature, community, and opportunity meet. It's the type of welcoming community where people say hello to each other on the street - are you ready to be embraced by Gunnadah?
- Inverell - Escape the city stress without sacrificing comfort. Inverell offers affordable housing, spacious blocks, and a lower cost of living—perfect for families and first-home buyers looking to stretch their dollar further.
- Moree - Located in north-western NSW, Moree is a regional centre known for its natural artesian hot springs, rich agricultural heritage, and welcoming community. It’s a place where career, culture, and quality of life come together.
- Narrabri - Join their close-knit group, not just with the maternity service group but within the wider service that Narrabri provides. As a rural hospital, there is lots of opportunity for you to take on a varied range of tasks. The team are completely committed to building and developing their own staff, so if continued learning and growth are what you're after, then Narrabri is the place for you!
- Singleton - Situated in the heart of the Hunter Valley, Singleton offers a unique blend of regional charm, career opportunity, and modern amenities. With strong community values and access to the best of wine country and wilderness, it’s an ideal location for families, professionals, and lifestyle seekers.
- Scone - Are you a dual Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife looking to maintain both skill sets? If so, Scott Memorial Hospital in Scone is the place for you. As a smaller facility, our Midwives work very closely with the Emergency Department and help chip in during quiet periods, and enjoy the variety that this brings to their day-to-day work.
- Tamworth - Professional development and career growth meet the country music capital of Australia, and a thriving regional city offering the perfect blend of culture, convenience, and country charm. With a growing population, modern infrastructure, and scenic surroundings, it’s an ideal place to build your future
