Begin date: 8/10/2025 Full Time: Yes Number of Workers Requested: 1 Job Duties: H-2A workers will assist with all aspects of crop production on a family-run grain and hay farm. Responsibilities include operating agricultural machinery such as cultivators, air drills, planters, sprayers, spreaders, combines, and grain carts for tillage, planting, spraying, haying, and harvesting activities. Workers must perform daily maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Driving trucks to transport crops, supplies, and equipment between fields and storage facilities is required; a commercial driver’s license (CDL) may be necessary for specific tasks. Additional duties involve starting and maintaining irrigation systems, monitoring crop health for pests, weeds, and diseases, and applying chemicals accordingly. Post-harvest responsibilities include sorting, grading, drying, and storing crops using augers, dryers, and conveyors. Workers must also maintain cleanliness and organization in farm buildings and storage areas. Employment is at-will, but the employer implements a structured disciplinary process. This includes a written warning detailing the issue and steps for correction, followed by a formal termination notice if no improvement is observed or in cases of serious misconduct. This system ensures clarity and fairness while preserving workplace standards and efficiency. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Number of Hours Per Week: 48 Work Schedule (Start/End time): 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
