We are partnering with a premier Semiconductor company seeking a Senior Analog IC Design Engineer with expertise in power conversion to join their expanding team in Edinburgh.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation mixed-signal and power management ICs as the company continues to expand into high-growth automotive and industrial markets.
As a Senior Analog IC Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of high-performance mixed-signal ICs, including advanced power converters implemented in leading-edge CMOS technologies. You will take ownership of designs from specification and architectural definition through circuit implementation, integration, layout supervision, and post-silicon validation.
Responsibilities Will Include
- Designing high-performance analog and mixed-signal ICs with a focus on power conversion applications
- Defining architectures and translate system requirements into robust circuit solutions
- Driving designs from concept through integration and tape-out
- Overseeing layout implementation and support silicon bring-up, characterisation, and debugging activities
- Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams across design, verification, and product development
Requirements
- BSc, MSc, or PhD in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Proven industry experience in analog IC design and mixed-signal development
- Strong understanding of analog architecture, circuit implementation, and chip-level integration
- Experience in power management ICs (PMICs), DC-DC converters, switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), buck, boost, or buck-boost converter design
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering environment
You can expect to find a highly supportive, collaborative working environment, great colleagues, and a good work-life balance. Our client is offering a competitive basic salary, annual bonus and stock, plus visa sponsorship and relocation assistance.
