Job Description:
MakiMoto Group is seeking an experienced Head Chef and Sous Chef to lead our well-established Japanese restaurant located at Macarthur Square, Campbelltown NSW.This role is suited to chefs who don’t just cook, but take ownership of kitchen operations, lead teams, and maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.
Positions AvailableHead Chef – Full TimeSous Chef – Full Time
Salary & ConditionsHead Chef: $100,000 per year (Salary negotiable depending on experience)• Sous Chef: $82,000 per year (Salary negotiable depending on experience)• 5 days per week• Trading hours: 10:30 AM – 8:30 PM2-hour break (Split Shift)• Annual leave provided• Visa sponsorship available for the right candidate
Key ResponsibilitiesHead Chef• Oversee full kitchen operations• Maintain food quality & consistency• Stock control, food cost & hygiene management• Train, manage & roster kitchen staffSous Chef• Support Head Chef in daily operations• Control kitchen during service• Food preparation & quality control• Assist with staff training and supervision
Requirements• Experience in Japanese cuisine• Leadership experience in a busy service environment• Strong sense of responsibility & long-term commitment• Excellent teamwork & communication skills
