About us

Equans Solar & Storage Australia (ESSA) is a company fully owned by the Bouygues Group.
  
One of the main focuses of the company is developing the Renewable Energies sector by providing high quality services of Engineering, Procurement and Construction, specialized in Utility Scale PV Solar Projects, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
  
In Australia, all the skills and competences of the Group Bouygues Construction, including those related to the energy sector have been historically offered by Bouygues Construction Australia Pty Ltd – an accredited sponsor for the TSS Subclass 482 visa program dedicated to provide world-class services in building, civil engineering, earthworks and infrastructure throughout Australia employing over 30 Australian citizens and permanent residents with an annual turnover of $836.000.000,00 delivering projects critical to Australia’s economy such as NorthConnex, WestConnex and Melbourne Metro
  
As part of the same group, ESSA has been collaborating with BYCA for the delivery of 8 utility scale solar farms, totalizing 650 MWp of installed capacity of renewable clean energy (Parkes (NSW), Griffiths (NSW), Dubbo (NSW), Whitsundays (QLD), Hamilton (QLD), Coleambally (NSW), Suntop (NSW) and Narromine (NSW)
  
In view of the success in the recent years and to reinforce the position in the country, the Group has decided to create a new entity in Australia, as a branch dedicated to exclusively grow and develop the Renewables Energies footprint in the country. In 2022 it was created Equans Solar & Storage Australia. The intention is to keep working together with BYCA for the delivery of Energy Project around Australia, whilst permitting to grow a specialized team able to deliver highest standard of clean energy projects.


The Position

We are searching for a Logistics Engineer who will be responsible for:
  • Oversee daily logistics operations on-site, including the movement of trucks and dispatch of materials and equipment required for solar farm construction
  • oollaborate with the Logistics Manager to develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize the flow of materials and minimize delays or bottlenecks on-site.
  • Manage the scheduling and coordination of truck deliveries and pick-ups, ensuring timely and efficient transport of materials such as solar panels, inverters, trackers, and other critical equipment.
  • Ensure that all logistical operations comply with safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
  • Coordinate and monitor truck arrivals and departures to ensure smooth unloading and loading processes
  • Develop and maintain an efficient truck scheduling system to avoid delays and ensure equipment is delivered on time to support the project timeline.
  • Ensure that drivers adhere to site safety protocols and regulations, including PPE requirements and vehicle inspections.
  • Monitor and manage the dispatch of materials and equipment across different areas of the solar farm.
  • Liaise with the procurement to track the availability of equipment and materials, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and any shortages are quickly addressed.
  • Maintain accurate records of all materials dispatched and ensure that equipment is correctly logged upon delivery and use.



Qualifications and Experiences
  • Master’s degree in Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in large-scale PV projects monitoring operations, systems and construction phases.


Skills and Knowledge 

  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools for scheduling, inventory, and dispatch tracking.
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations.
  • Proven ability to solve logistical challenges and optimize material flows on-site.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with drivers, site teams, and management.
  • Willingness to work on-site in a remote location and adhere to local regulations.
