We specialise in transforming outdoor residential and commercial areas into luxurious, functional, year-round living spaces. Due to rapid growth and high market demand, we are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our production team.The OpportunityWe are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our growing manufacturing team, responsible for the precision machining of aluminium components used in our premium pergola and louver systems. This is a hands-on production role suited to a machinist who takes pride in accuracy, consistency, and quality workmanship.Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (mills, routers, and/or lathes) to produce components to specification
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, and technical specifications
  • Load and edit CNC programs as required, and make adjustments to optimise machining processes
  • Select appropriate tooling and machining parameters for aluminium components
  • Conduct in-process and final quality checks using measuring instruments (callipers, micrometers, etc.) to ensure components meet tolerance requirements
  • Carry out routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area in line with workplace health and safety procedures
  • Work collaboratively with the wider production team to meet project timelines

Skills and Experience Required
  • Minimum 2 years' relevant CNC machining experience, OR a relevant trade qualification (National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering – Machining, Level 4 or equivalent)
  • Proven experience operating CNC mills and/or routers, ideally with aluminium or similar materials
  • Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings and CAD files
  • Basic CNC programming/editing skills (e.g., Fanuc, Mach3, or similar control systems)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision and quality
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment
  • A positive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude

Employment Conditions
  • This is a genuine, ongoing full-time position, guaranteeing a minimum of 30 hours per week
  • Pay rate meets or exceeds the New Zealand minimum wage and reflects the current market rate for this occupation
  • All employment terms comply with New Zealand employment law, including the Employment Relations Act 2000, Minimum Wage Act 1983, and Holidays Act 2003
  • A written employment agreement will be provided in accordance with legal requirements
