Our client in the banking industry is hiring a Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer for locations in Minneapolis, MN, Phoenix, AZ, or Charlotte, NC or Irving, TX. Job Description:
- Software Engineer 3 (Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer with AI)
- Client is seeking a Data Engineer with strong Google Cloud Platform expertise and hands-on experience building scalable data pipelines, along with required experience supporting AI/ML-driven use cases.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 plus years of data engineering experience, including Google Cloud data solutions
- Hands-on experience with Spark-based processing and Kafka streaming in collaborative environments
- 2 plus years of experience building real-time data pipelines using Kafka, Flink, and Spark Streaming.
- 2 plus years of experience with NoSQL databases (columnar, graph, document, key-value)
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud certifications (Google Cloud Platform preferred).
3 plus years of experience with data Lakehouse architecture and tools including:
- Python, PySpark, SQL
- Apache Kafka, Airflow
- Google Cloud Platform services: Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Dataproc, Cloud Composer.
AI / ML Requirements:
- Hands-on experience integrating ML models into data pipelines or production workflows
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform AI/ML tools such as Vertex AI and/or BigQuery ML
- Understanding of MLOps concepts (model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle)
- Experience with Python-based ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn)
- Exposure to Generative AI concepts, including basic prompt engineering
Note:
- Locations: Chandler, AZ / Irving, TX / Minnesota, Charlotte, NC 3 days onsite in a week.
