Part-time to start | Remote | No Overtime | Canada-based and H-1B consideredWe’re a U.S. boutique CPA firm serving a small, high-quality client base of real estate investors, e-commerce founders, and service-based businesses. About half of our clients are Chinese-speaking and half are U.S.-based.2025 has been our biggest year yet, and we’re adding a Client Account Manager & Advisory Lead to help run client operations, lead client projects, and maintain the high bar our firm is known for.This role reports directly to the owner and works alongside a highly capable admin team. You’ll be the steady, senior presence ensuring clients feel supported, work moves smoothly, and nothing gets dropped.Why This Role Is Different

What You’ll Do Client Ownership & Advisory-40%
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
  • Lead client calls, set agendas, explain results, and manage follow-ups
  • Proactively manage expectations and keep the owner in the loop
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and coordinate execution

Project & Workflow Management-30%
  • Own client projects from start to finish
  • Coordinate across an international team with clean handoffs
  • Ensure deadlines, scope, and quality standards are met

Review & Quality Control-20%
  • Review U.S. individual and business tax returns (including partnerships & real estate)
  • Review tax-ready bookkeeping (QBO/Xero)
  • Sign off on reviewed work and be accountable for accuracy
  • Provide clear, practical guidance to the team

Systems & Process Improvement-10%
  • Improve workflows, checklists, and the overall client experience
  • Act as an integrator who spots issues and fixes them

Background We’re Looking For
  • CPA (U.S. or Canada) or equivalent public-practice experience
  • 6–10 years in tax/accounting/client advisory
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. individual and business tax returns
  • Experience with real estate, e-commerce, or service-based clients
  • Comfortable working with distributed, international teams
  • Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus (not required)

Logistics & Compensation
  • Part-time to start: ~20–25 hours/week (with room to grow)
  • Fully remote
  • Canada-based candidates preferred
  • H-1B sponsorship may be considered for the right candidate
