We are looking for a highly experienced and versatile plastic fabricator with a solid understanding of different plastic types and expertise in working with them. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding poly and/or PVC, acrylic fabrication, and working with various hand and power tools, including CNC routers. You are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining a safe and efficient workshop environment.Key Responsibilities- Fabricate and assemble plastic components for various applications.
- Work with a variety of plastics, including poly, PVC, and acrylic, ensuring high-quality results.
- Operate and maintain hand and power tools, including CNC routers and similar equipment.
- Perform day-to-day plastic fabrication tasks and maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop.
- Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a positive and safe work environment.
- Lift and carry heavy materials as required and assist with site travel when necessary.
- Work independently and exercise initiative in problem-solving and decision-making.
Essential Skills and Experience:- Proven experience as a plastic fabricator with expertise in welding poly, PVC, and acrylic.
- Competency with relevant hand and power tools, and CNC router operation.
- Experience in plumbing and competent in construction.
- Flexible to travel across Australia and work in remote locations.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work unsupervised and take initiative to complete tasks efficiently.
- Reliable, punctual, and dedicated with a “can-do” attitude.
- A current driver’s license and construction induction safety certificate (White Card). Other relevant certificates such as confined spaces etc an advantage.
- Forklift license is preferred.
