UHSussex NHS Trust seeks to employ four B8a Efficiency Business Partners
The Trust has an ambitious and challenging Efficiency and Improvement Programme which requires continuous development in the way services are delivered to further enhance patient experience, quality of care and outcomes and ensures the Trust becomes financially sustainable.
As part of this efficiency programme, there are some exciting new key initiatives that are being taken forward within Corporate Hub Arrangements; Workforce ; Estates Improvement Programme; Productivity, Theatres and Outpatient Improvements that require project management support.

Working closely with operational and corporate teams and using project management and service improvement skills and tools to scope, develop and support delivery of workstreams that contribute towards the Trust’s annual Efficiency Programme.
The programme management roles will be aligned to support complex projects within the efficiency programme and will report to the Heads of Efficiency within the Efficiency team.
They will work closely with Heads of Efficiency, Efficiency/Finance/HR Business Partners and the Trust’s leadership teams, utilising project management skills to enable delivery of the divisional workstream outcomes within agreed quality, cost and time parameters.
The Efficiency Programme traditionally comprises a mix of core tactical and strategic pay and non-pay cost-saving actions, alongside income generation.
Integral to the role is the delivery of both financial and non-financial benefits and these roles will ensure that clear and measurable key performance indicators and targets are set for each project, and they will continue to ensure benefits realisation remains a key focus throughout project delivery.
Travel across hospital sites may be required i.e. RSCH, PRH, SRH, WOR and Southlands

Candidate Pack
Provide senior financial business partnering support to Divisions and corporate functions, acting as a trusted advisor to clinical, operational and executive leaders
Lead the development of robust financial plans, budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with Trust strategy, operational plans and efficiency requirements
Deliver high-quality financial analysis, including run-rate assessment, variance analysis and scenario modelling, to inform decision-making and drive performance improvement
Provide constructive challenge to Divisions on financial performance, productivity and efficiency delivery, ensuring plans are credible, measurable and deliverable
Support the identification, development and delivery of efficiency and productivity schemes, including workforce, clinical productivity and service transformation initiatives
Lead on the financial aspects of business cases, ensuring options appraisal, affordability and value for money are clearly articulated
Ensure strong financial governance and control, including accurate reporting, risk identification and mitigation, and compliance with Trust and NHS financial frameworks
Work collaboratively with Finance, Workforce, Performance and Efficiency teams to align financial, operational and workforce plans and ensure benefits realisation is tracked and delivered
Translate complex financial and performance data into clear, accessible insight for a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders and non-finance audiences
Support the development of financial understanding and accountability across Divisions, promoting a culture of ownership and continuous improvement
Contribute to Trust-wide financial and transformation programmes, including efficiency governance, productivity improvement and strategic planning initiatives
Provide leadership, support and development to junior finance staff, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team environment
This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route.
