Job Description:
About the RoleWe are looking for a motivated Graduate / Junior Project Manager to join our team in Auckland and Hamilton. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresh graduate or early-career professional to build hands-on experience in residential construction.You will work closely with senior management, LBP and site teams to support the planning and delivery of housing and subdivision projects. Full training and mentoring will be provided to help you grow into the role. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of residential construction projects, including subdivisions and multi-unit developments.
  • Support site teams with day-to-day operations, including tracking progress, materials, and workforce coordination.
  • Work alongside architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to help resolve site and design-related matters.
  • Help with procurement and sourcing of materials, tools, and services.
  • Assist in preparing project schedules, workflows, and timelines.
  • Support the preparation of tenders, quotes, and project documentation.
  • Ensure work is carried out in line with New Zealand building regulations and council requirements.
  • Assist with consent documentation and submissions where required.
  • Monitor project progress and report on any delays or issues to senior management.
  • Support implementation of Health & Safety practices in line with WorkSafe New Zealand guidelines.
  • Help identify risks on site and ensure safe work practices are followed.
  • Assist in tracking project costs and budgets.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Keep accurate records, reports, and site documentation.

What We’re Looking For
  • Qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0–1 year experience in construction or project coordination preferred.
  • Fresh graduates with a strong interest in construction/project management are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic understanding of NZ building processes and construction practices (preferred but not essential).
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow within the company.
  • Ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and stay organised.
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn project management tools.
