Cafe Chef

We are a vibrant and locally loved café in Ponsonby, Auckland, known for our quality brunch, cabinet food, and fresh seasonal offerings. We are looking for an experienced full-time Chef to join our kitchen team and help deliver consistently great food to our customers. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook breakfast, brunch, salads, and cabinet food items Contribute to menu planning and daily specials Maintain food safety standards and kitchen cleanliness Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies Work efficiently under pressure and manage time well during peak hours Support kitchen staff and ensure quality control of all dishes Requirements: Minimum 3 years' experience as a chef in a cafe or similar environment Strong skills in Western-style breakfast, brunch, and cabinet food Understanding of New Zealand Food Safety and Hygiene practices Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays Excellent time management and teamwork skills Good level of English communication What We Offer: Competitive pay based on experience Free staff meals and coffee Opportunities for growth and creativity Accredited Employer – we are able to support Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) applications
