What You’ll Do: - Carry out treatment sessions as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Assist with follow-up visits and reinforce therapy plans based on the patient’s goals
- Observe and report any changes in the patient’s condition, mobility, or home environment
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safe practices to improve mobility and function
- Identify home safety concerns and suggest equipment or modifications to help prevent falls
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of visits, progress, and updates to the treatment plan
- Collaborate with PTs and other healthcare providers to ensure consistent, quality care
- Respect and follow all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA
- Manage your own schedule efficiently and travel between patient homes within your assigned area
Qualifications - Graduate of an Accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program
- Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting
- Successfully passed the NPTE for PTAs (National Physical Therapy Exam)
- CPR Certification (current and valid)
Knowledge & Clinical Competency - Solid understanding of human physiology and medical terminology
- Able to follow PT-developed treatment plans with accuracy and care
- Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills
- Physically capable of assisting patients and managing homecare equipment
- Background in hospital or home health care settings
- Experience working with pediatric patients (a plus!)
