Responsibilities: Site Investigations:

1. Conduct on-site investigations & potholing to determine the presence and location of various underground utilities, such as gas, water, sewer, and telecommunication lines.
2. Interpret construction plans and blueprints to identify potential utility conflicts.

Marking and Mapping:

1. Leverage your extensive experience to mark and map underground utilities ensuring the success of construction projects.

Documentation and Reporting:

1. Maintain accurate records of utility markings and site investigations.
2. Generate reports to communicate findings to project teams, engineers, and utility companies.

Collaboration:

1. Work collaboratively with experienced Utility Surveyor Locators and other team members to ensure effective communication and project coordination.
2. Participate in cross-functional collaboration with construction teams and utility companies.

Strategic Collaboration:

1. Work seamlessly with construction teams, engineers, and utility companies, providing your expertise to enhance project coordination.

Skills & Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a Utility Surveyor Locator across different sectors.
2. High Proficiency in operating utility locating equipment – GPR & EMI Locators.
3. White Card & WA C Class Driver’s License Essential
4. Ability to lead small teams onsite.
5. Vacuum Excavation Experience
6. Ability to work unsupervised.
7. Civil Construction understanding/ experience.

Desirable:

1. Surveying
2. ATCO High-Pressure Gas Accreditation
3. Valid First Aid & CPR a plus
4. Certloc Accreditation
5. Concrete Scanning Experience
