We are looking for a Radiologist with breast imaging subspecialty focus to join our Pacific Radiology team. The ideal candidate will have fellowship training in breast imaging. Capability should include experience in all forms of breast imaging including diagnostic and screening mammography and tomosynthesis, radiologist performed breast ultrasound and breast MRI. In addition you will have multimodality breast intervention skills including ultrasound and stereotactic breast biopsy hook wire localisation and vacuum assisted biopsy.

Ideally, the candidate will be currently accredited to work within Breastcreen Aotearoa, New Zealand’s national breast screening programme, training will be provided if required.

The role also involved multimodality general radiology reporting.
The successful candidate will provide high quality, patient focused radiology services. As well as exceptional clinical skills, you will be a good communicator and team player. You will work within a multidisciplinary team including radiologists, radiology registrars, MITs, breast nurses and surgeons. Your workday will include:
  • Breast imaging and diagnostic multimodality reporting performed according to a weekly roster
  • Attending and leading multidisciplinary meetings, case review and case conferences
  • Performing high-quality diagnostic imaging to Pacific Radiology’s published protocols and standards
  • Delivering compassionate, considerate and professional patient care


Please note, appointment to this position will be conditional on a satisfactory Police vetting and risk assessment as per the Vulnerable Children Act.
