The Role Anyday is preparing to open a new Brisbane CBD restaurant and is now taking expressions of interest for an experienced Junior Sous Chef. This is a full-time role with a salary range of $77,500–$95,000. As a Junior Sous Chef, you will play a key part in leading kitchen operations, supporting section management, and mentoring junior chefs. Working closely with the Sous and Head Chefs, you will oversee service delivery, uphold food safety and compliance standards, and help foster a respectful, high-performing kitchen culture. Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie, with leadership responsibilities in a high volume kitchen Strong knowledge of mise en place, service flow, and section organisation Ability to lead and mentor junior chefs, apprentices, and kitchen hands Demonstrated commitment to food safety, hygiene, and WHS compliance Confidence in managing prep and service during peak periods Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills Visa sponsorship may be available for suitably qualified international candidates under the Temporary Skill Shortage (subclass 482) visa program.
