Project Manager

Role: Project Manager – Construction (Metal Stairs & Structural Steel)Location: Hayward, CA 94544 (Local Candidates Preferred)
Salary: $100K – $150K per year (DOE)
Work Authorization: Open to H-1B, OPT, and International Candidates About the Role:We’re a growing Bay Area steel contractor specializing in metal stairs and structural steel. We’re looking for a Project Manager with the technical expertise and leadership to deliver projects from kickoff to closeout—on time, on budget, and with top quality. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all phases of assigned construction projects
• Ensure compliance with contracts, specs, and project schedules
• Review architectural/structural plans and shop drawings
• Issue purchase requests for raw materials
• Process RFIs and change orders
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, and inspectors to ensure smooth progress
• Manage shop drawings, fabrication, and field installation timelines
• Attend site meetings and monitor field progress
• Control costs and drive profit on every project
• Mentor and assign work to Project Engineers

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
• Experience with metal stairs and structural steel (Required)
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat
• Able to read architectural/structural drawings with strong technical communication skills
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Bilingual in English & Chinese is a plus—not required
• Must be local to Hayward, CA or willing to relocate
