We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing materials and techniques, as well as the ability to work effectively in various weather conditions. The Roofer will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and durability of buildings by providing high-quality roofing solutions. Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and replace roofing systems using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and flat roofing systems.
• Fabricate roofing components as needed to ensure proper fit and functionality.
• Work collaboratively with carpenters and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
• Perform masonry work related to roofing installations.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or necessary repairs.
• Adhere to safety protocols at all times while on job sites.
• Engage in heavy lifting as required during the installation or removal of roofing materials.

Skills

• Proficiency in fabricating roofing components and materials.
• Experience working as a carpenter is advantageous.
• Ability to weld when necessary for specific roofing projects.
• Strong knowledge of various roofing systems and techniques.
• Familiarity with masonry work related to roofing applications is beneficial.
• Competence in using hand tools such as hammers, chisels, and saws, as well as power tools like drills and nail guns.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail when interpreting schematics.
