Section Waiter (Front of House) Job DescriptionAs a section waiter, you’re responsible for
your own group of tables (“section”) and making sure guests have a smooth, high-quality experience.
Core Duties- Greet and seat guests professionally
- Present menus and explain dishes (especially important in fine dining)
- Take food & drink orders accurately
- Serve food and beverages in the correct order
- Check in with guests during meals
- Handle bills and payments
- Reset and maintain tables
- Work closely with kitchen and bar staff
Extra Responsibilities (Fine Dining like Doju)
- Deep knowledge of menu ingredients (Korean cuisine in this case)
- Wine or beverage recommendations
- High attention to detail (presentation, timing, etiquette)
- Managing multiple tables efficiently
