OverviewWe are seeking a passionate and skilled Nepali Curry Chef to join our Grampian Hotel and shimla Dining. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences. This position requires leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
- Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Create innovative dishes that enhance the culinary offerings of the establishment.
Requirements- Proven experience as a Nepali Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry for at least three years.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen management.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines, with a passion for culinary arts.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
