• Prepare and cut various types of meat, including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry, according to specifications.
• Ensure all meat products are handled and stored in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butcher area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitised.
• Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels of meat products and reporting any shortages.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfil orders efficiently and ensure timely service.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about meat products and offering recommendations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to food preparation and safety.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food preparation or production, preferably within a kitchen or restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
• Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various butchering techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
