ABOUT US Pats Italian Restaurant and Bar is an icon establishment situated in the heart of Mt Buller Village. We are known for our mouth-watering a la carte menu, pizzas, fun atmosphere and our exceptional customer service. We make the majority of our dishes in-house with high-quality produce (including our pizza dough and pasta which is made each day) and we ensure that everything is as fresh as you can get!

THE ROLE This is a hands-on role and will require you to work under pressure, in a fast pace environment. As it is a short time of operation, some aspects of the job are, but not limited to, the following;
- prepare the restaurant for opening
- ensure the accommodation is ready to receive staff
- hold staff induction/training sessions/s covering;
- staff handbook, including paperwork to be completed
- liquor licences
- dofoodsafely including our food allergy policy, deliveries and documentation
- upsellting, promotions and social media
- opening and closing procedures
- work closely with the owners and senior staff to ensure the restaurant runs efficiently and cost effectively
- rostering and timesheet management (Tanda)
- daily/weekly contact with suppliers and delivery companies
Appropriate training will be provided where required.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Appropriate Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent
- Experience in tourism highly desirable
- Police check and appropriate certificate
- Experience with Tanda and Ordermate highly desirable
- Experience stock management
- Excellent time management
- Attention to detail
- Good time management
- Ability to manage a team with emphasis on creating a positive and harmonious environment
- Ability to recruit, train and supervise staff
- Ability to 'jump in' to a front of house role should it be required
- Ability to greet and welcome customers, take and manage bookings, handle complaints and advise
