Industry-linked PhD scholarship in Biomedical CFD + scholarship top up

Do you have experience in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and a bachelor degree in Engineering? Want to work with a biomedical engineering firm while completing your doctorate in Engineering? A new industry linked PhD scholarship opportunity is now open at the Multiphase Flow Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at Monash University's Clayton campus in Melbourne, Australia.
This position includes a top-up to the regular tax-free PhD stipend (AUD 36k tax-free + 10k top-up = 46k pa).
This applied research program will prepare you to be a future leader in Australia’s growing biomedical engineering industry. In this project you will use both commercial and open-source CFD software to develop novel solutions to aerosol transport problems. You will design and plan your research in collaboration with the industry partner and will present your results at regular meetings. You will also have the opportunity to perform validation experiments in our state of the art laboratories.
Requirements: 

• A Bachelor or Masters Degree in the fields of Biomedical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, with first class honours or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in computational fluid dynamics, through a Final Year Project, Honours or Masters thesis.
