Kitchen Fitter

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Kitchen Fitter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining kitchen units and fittings in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of various building techniques and the ability to work efficiently within a team. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in carpentry, fabrication, or general construction to utilise their skills in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities

• Measuring and planning kitchen layouts according to client specifications and schematics
• Installing kitchen units, worktops, appliances, and fixtures with precision and care
• Cutting, shaping, and assembling components using hand tools and power tools
• Ensuring all installations comply with safety standards and building regulations
• Repairing or replacing existing kitchen fittings as required
• Collaborating with other trades such as plumbing, electrical, and masonry teams to ensure seamless project completion
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area throughout each project
• Reading technical drawings and schematics to accurately execute installation plans

Experience

• Proven experience in carpentry, fabrication, or general construction work is essential
• Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, plastering, masonry, and construction painting is advantageous
• Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately
• Experience working on residential or commercial refurbishment projects is preferred
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Valid UK driving licence is desirable for travel between sites
