About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated
Cook to join our busy health care catering team. In this rewarding role, you will help prepare and deliver nutritious, high-quality meals that support the health, recovery, and wellbeing of our patients.
Working on a rotating roster across breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, you will thrive in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment where attention to detail, food safety, and teamwork are essential. While the role can be demanding, it offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals in accordance with recipes, menu plans, and patient dietary requirements.
- Assist in the timely production of breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
- Ensure all food is prepared, presented, and portioned to a high standard.
- Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and infection control practices.
- Work collaboratively with the catering team to meet meal service schedules and patient needs.
- Assist with stock rotation, food storage, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.
- Support a positive patient experience through quality food preparation and service.
What You Bring
- Previous experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen, healthcare, aged care, hospitality, or catering environment.
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet service deadlines.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexible availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- A genuine commitment to supporting patient care through quality nutrition.
- Relevant food handling or food safety qualifications
