The role will support some of our leading brands such as Tim Hortons, Starbucks, Popeyes, Burger King, Subway, New York Fries, and Booster Juice.

About the Role

Reporting to the Brand Director, the Brand Lead plays a critical role in the execution of brand standards and initiatives across assigned plazas along the 400 & 401 corridors. This role partners closely with plaza teams, brand representatives, and internal stakeholders to ensure brand expectations are met, performance goals are achieved, and the guest experience remains at the forefront.

The Brand Lead acts as a hands-on subject matter expert, supporting operational excellence, driving continuous improvement, and strengthening relationships that enable consistent brand performance across ONroute locations.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Execution & Operational Support
  • Supports the execution of brand initiatives and action plans to achieve key performance metrics, including sales, margins, speed of service, and audit results.
  • Works shoulder-to-shoulder with Plaza Managers and Brand Managers in locations where brands are not meeting standards.
  • Continuously evaluates daily brand operations and identifies opportunities to improve service, quality, and operational consistency.
  • Supports brand-specific audits, corrective actions, and follow-up to ensure sustained compliance.

Brand Standards & Compliance
  • Leads the communication download from the brand to plaza teams to ensure the effective delivery of the brand in ONroute.
  • Partners with brand management and plaza teams to ensure compliance with all brand standards, policies, procedures, and operational requirements.
  • Oversees brand-specific inventory management and controls within assigned plazas.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of product, quality, food safety, and operational standards and applies this knowledge in the field.

Relationship Management & Collaboration
  • Manages day-to-day relationships with assigned brand representatives, fostering trust, alignment, and collaboration.
  • Serves as a key liaison between plaza teams, Brand Directors, and brand partners to support effective execution.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for plaza teams, providing guidance and support to resolve brand-specific challenges.

Guest Experience & Culture
  • Champions a strong service culture with a passion for the guest experience, customer engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Professionally managing guest complaints and providing prompt, effective solutions.
  • Builds rapport, credibility, and trust with plaza teams and brand partners through open communication and collaboration.
  • Contributes to a positive work environment by sharing knowledge, celebrating success, and modeling respectful, inclusive behaviors.
  • Embraces change and promotes teamwork in the pursuit of companywide goals and objectives.

Development & Capability Building
  • Supports the Brand Director with the development and execution of brand commercial value creation plan.
  • Supports the development of plaza and brand teams through coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job guidance.
  • Encourages learning and skill development to improve individual and organizational performance.

Qualifications & Experience
  • University degree or College diploma in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a QSR, food & beverage, or hospitality environment; brand-specific experience is an asset.
  • Experience working in multi-unit or high-volume operations is preferred.

Additional Requirements
  • Ability to travel regularly to plazas across Ontario.
  • Minimum of 5 days per week in office and/or plaza locations.
  • QSR or hospitality industry experience is an asset.
