In actuarial services at PwC, you will be responsible for analysing and managing financial risks for clients through statistical modelling and data analysis. Your work will generate valuable insights and recommendations to help businesses make informed decisions and mitigate potential risks.

Examples of the skills, knowledge, and experiences you need to lead and deliver value at this level include but are not limited to:

Providing actuarial consulting services to a range of (re)insurers, from global listed insurers to single-parent captives;

Working with other PwC actuaries across our global network, including supervising and mentoring more junior actuarial staff and providing guidance to non-actuarial staff on actuarial issues;

Working with other specialists, such as tax professionals, accountants, regulatory specialists and internal auditors;

Managing engagement economics to enhance efficiency and profitability; and

Supporting the growth and development of the business through nurturing client relationships and identifying new opportunities to support clients with actuarial advisory services.

Capabilities/Skills Required:

University degree in an applicable field (i.e. mathematics, actuarial, computer science, economics, finance, etc.), and/or have demonstrated success in completing examinations administered by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, the Society of Actuaries, or an equivalent body;

3+ years’ experience in a life actuarial role

Experience across the following areas is desirable:

Actuarial modelling of different life insurance products, in particular annuity products

Consulting experience

Solvency capital reporting and modelling, for example; Bermuda EBS / SCR or Solvency II

Asset experience
