Job Description:

Post Summary Applications are invited for the role of VR Experiment Developer at Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience (TCIN) to work in the Multisensory Cognition Lab headed by Prof. Fiona Newell. The Multisensory Cognition lab has dedicated laboratory facility equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for behavioural testing, including eye tracking and VR technology (HTC Vive and Oculus). TCIN also houses a research-dedicated MRI scanner, accessible to all principal investigators and their groups. The VR Experiment Developer will join a project aimed at understanding how our brain shares information about objects from vision and touch. The research will mainly involve designing and implementing a virtual reality (VR) experiment that incorporates visual and haptic stimuli. The VR Experiment Developer will join a research team of PhD students, postdoctoral researchers and other staff and students involved in our projects. The candidate will participate in regular lab and collaborator meetings and learn about diverse methodologies in multisensory perceptual science. The position is funded for 2 months with a possibility for an extension pending future funding. Successful candidates are expected to assume the position immediately, but ideally no later than the end of March 2025.
