Namoo Japanese Cafe
We are seeking an experienced pastry cook with a strong background in pastry for our shop. The successful applicant must be committed to the pastry team on a daily basis.You must be a team player with a positive attitude and a sense of responsibility. Additionally, you should be willing to work both in a team environment and independently.Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 (plus superannuation)What we offer▪ Full-time role▪ Weekly roster▪ Great location▪ Fantastic work life balance▪ Great hourly rate based on your experienceThe RolesKey responsibilities will include, but not be limited to▪ Create a variety of pastries, including cakes, pies, and breadand engage the interest of customers▪ Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting▪ Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget▪ Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking▪ Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently▪ Identify staffing needs and help recruit and train personnel▪ Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standardsThe position RequiresThe successful candidate will have a proven track record of success within a similar role or work environment.▪ Have a right to work in Australia▪ Previous experience (at least 2 years) in a similar role with references▪ Must be fully available over a 7-day roster▪ Be able to work under pressure▪ Be a team player▪ Highly organized and efficientThe candidate must also have strong communication skills, show attention to detail, and be well-presented and punctual.
